SAST organizes conferences (Q-meetings) with themes related to testing and adjacent areas such as requirements management and project management. We select speakers from various organizations, including international ones, to share their knowledge. It is our goal to have a diverse range of speakers, and if you, as a member, have suggestions for presentations, we gladly welcome your proposals. We encourage all our members to present their experiences in testing - please contact us!
SAST is a nonprofit association with no profit-making purpose, and all board members work without compensation from the association. The amount you, as a member, pay for each meeting covers our cost for refreshments and lunch. Speakers and venues are sponsored by our sponsors.
SAST has been a registered trademark with a protected logo since 2008. If anyone wishes to use it, our permission is required. Please contact the association in such cases (see the contact page).
The association's purposes are to:
SAST was established in 1995 by Anna Docherty (formerly Eriksson) and Sigrid Eldh to create a forum where members could exchange experiences in testing.
In connection with EuroSTAR in Stockholm in 2007, an article was published that provides an overview of SAST. Read the article here! ("Swedish Association For Software Testing")
SAST participated as an exhibitor at Eurostar 2009 in Stockholm, and an article was published at that time, which can be read via this link (pdf). Our membership continues to grow steadily.
If you have any questions about SAST and our work, you are welcome to contact any of the board members via email or in person at one of our meetings.
